Legacy

The Youth Ministry of First Christian Church of Garnett is for all students 6th-12th. These students are, first and foremost, taught to Love God, Love People, and Advance the Kingdom of Christ! Our weekly Programs consist of Jr. High and High School Sunday School on Sunday Morning starting at 9:15 a.m. Our second weekly programming is simply called "Legacy" it takes place on Sunday Evening starting at 5:00 pm and ending at 7:00 pm. Here we break up into small groups, come together for a meal, and then go to worship God, and hear a message from Youth Minister Brett Hartman. Even though there is weekly meetings, their are many other ways to get involved through out the whole year, other activities include:


Hidden Haven Christian Camp (Jr. high, and High School)

CIY Move (High School Only)

Young Christians Weekend (Jr. High and High School)

BOS Bash (beginning of summer) (Jr. High and High School)

EOS Bash (End of Summer) (Jr. High and High School)



Roots

Our ROOTS Children's Ministry is offered to all students Kindergarten up to 6th Grade. Our weekly programming consists of Sunday School starting at  9:15, our Preschool class is lead by Waltham Farren and Maggie Reinart, The 1st 2nd and 3rd graders are lead by Karen Brinkmeyer, and our 4th 5th 6th graders are lead by Gabby Spring and Bethany Powls. Our Mid Week Programming is simply called "Roots" it starts at 5:30pm on Wednesday Evenings and ends at 7:00 pm. The Kids will get together for a meal to begin with  then at 6 the students will go into the sanctuary to have the opening worship session. after the session they will break up into three different groups , 1st grade and under, 2nd 3rd and 4th, and 5th  and 6th grade.  after 2 rotations we come back into the sanctuary for our closing session. Even though we have two different programs for students to get involved on a weekly basis, we have plenty of  other opportunities to get involved!
